What: Take to the Trees: Lecture & Panel Discussion + Tabling from local organizations

Where: Washington University - Hillman Hall Clark-Fox Forum

Event Description: Are Missouri’s woodlands healthy? How are global climate shifts, extreme weather, disease, and invasive species affecting the long-term prognosis of our Missouri forests? What role can we play to help? If you have ever asked yourself these questions, consider this your call to action.

Join the Landscape & Nursery Association of Greater St. Louis, in partnership with Washington University’s Sustainability Office, Arboretum, School of Public Health, and Center for the Environment, for an insightful evening dedicated to forestry conservation and environmental resilience.

Inspired by Marguerite Holloway’s book, Take to the Trees: A Story of Hope, Science, and Self-Discovery in America's Imperiled Forests, this event explores our changing ecosystems and climate. Through our engaging keynote speaker, expert panelists, and local community resources, we will address the increasing challenges facing our native trees and forest systems while encouraging actionable solutions for local stewardship and conservation on a larger scale.
